Life’s A Game

     I remember carefully melting crayons into bottle caps in the third grade. That’s how the boys in the Bronx Parkchester apartment project made the playing pieces for the game of Skelly, a game similar to billiards with the play table marked with chalk on the playground asphalt. I spent many fun hours with my friends building the skill to flick my bottlecap into the “pockets” and knock other pieces out of the way.

     I’ve played lots of fun games over my seventy-plus years since then. They were so much fun because it’s how life is meant to be.  We are made to have fun in the GAME of Life. Life itself is a vast multi-player game designed for great fun, pleasure, and joy.

   

     To have fun means to discover, explore, and learn by experience. Pleasure in the Game comes from the freedom to choose, pursue, and create things I like. Joy comes from the opportunity to experience beauty, love, and return another’s love.

Game of Life Instructions    

    For my first seven decades, I thought it unfair that life came without a set of instructions. My years have been filled with emotions, predominantly fun and happiness, but also serious searching for the cause and meaning behind the experiences I didn’t like so much. Now that I understand life’s structure better, I’m having more fun and getting beyond the bumps along the way more easily and quickly.

      We get to sample whatever we desire and learn from each experience. We can build personal stamina and clarity as we cut our own path through Life’s jungle without the aid of a road, trail, or map.

     I believe I now have a grasp of the Game’s instructions. The light to understand my life experiences came from my inner guide, teachers, mentors, and inspirations. I now know I jumped into this lifetime at this time and place to have fun learning and doing the things I like. I hoped to reap a heap of joy and satisfaction in each interaction in the Game of Life. Through twists and turns, I’ve learned what works to keep me young and having fun.

     Dear reader, I share these instructions that I originally prepared for my grandchildren in hopes they prove beneficial. You are already deep into a lifetime of all sorts of experiences you will seek to understand. I offer my perception of life’s structure and mechanisms as a lens to view your experiences so you can have all the fun, adventure, and joy you deserve as your birthright on planet Earth. I offer this playbook as my interpretation of how to play the Game of Life.

 

2. Game-of-Life Instructions

Now that I understand life better, I’m having more fun and getting beyond the bumps more easily and quickly. I see the wisdom in the structure of Life’s game.

We get to sample whatever we desire to learn from each experience. We build personal stamina and clarity as we cut our own path through the jungle without the aid of a road, trail, or map but with a built-in guidance system.

The light to understand my life experiences in a way that led to writing these instructions came from my teachers and mentors, my inner guide, and inspired downloads.

I now know I jumped into this lifetime at this time and place to have fun learning and doing the things I like. I hoped to reap a heap of joy and satisfaction in each interaction in the Game of Life. Through twists and turns, I’ve learned what works to keep me young, healthy, and having fun.

I prepared this instruction manual initially for my grandchildren. My desire is that it will benefit them to understand their life experiences and to take the controls to design their future.

3. Game of Life’s Playing Field

 

      A game’s playing field is the environment in which the game is played. The world’s most popular game, football, called soccer in America, Canada, and Australia, requires a net-covered, white-pipe goal at each end of a grassy field.

      The Game of Life is played by every soul on planet Earth in every kind of physical environment. Its defining field is an invisible web of limitless flowing energy that permeates space and time by delivering life force to everything in existence.

      Energy powers the universe. Nuclear fusion in the sun releases energy as sunlight that plants convert to chemical energy in food. Our body converts food to electrical energy running the brain, heart, and gut, and into mechanical and thermal energy in the body’s muscles. In Life’s Game, we play directly with energy through our movement, thoughts, and imagination.

      I call life’s vibrating energy field THE-FLOW. It is as real as the invisible electromagnetic radiation permeating all space. It is just as real as your cell phone connection but infinitely more powerful. It is the deliberately organized playing field of conscious energy, the field of abundance, life force, and well-being that powers Life’s Game.

      Quantum physicists call this vibrating energy matrix the Unified Field of Consciousness. Psychologists call it the Superconscious Mind. Eastern religions call it Divine Source. Spiritual self-help gurus call it the World of Infinite Possibilities. Christian religions call it the Kingdom of God, sometimes just God. Leaders of New-age/Ancient-wisdom religions call it the Universe. The Star Wars film sagas refer to it as the Force. Other attempts to explain life have resulted in concepts called Fate, Luck, and Karma.

      THE-FLOW is creative energy. It powered the Big Bang creation of the time-space universe. It is the dark energy astrophysicists can’t detect that accelerates the galaxies away from each other. It matches up people, circumstances, and events in perfect timing by matching their vibration frequencies.

      When I taught high school physics, I would use an ordinary iron nail to illustrate an energy field. Its iron atoms are vibrating with energy, initially in a jumbled orientation like a fistful of toothpicks dropped on the floor. When the nail is stroked repeatedly with a pole magnet, the individual iron atoms rotate until they align with the magnetic force field of the magnet. The previously jumbled atoms morph into another magnet as they align in the same direction. The effect of their magnetic field is revealed by sprinkling iron filings onto a piece of paper with the new magnet underneath.

Our Game of Life playing field is a similar energy field but infinitely more powerful, extending throughout the universe and intersecting with our personal radiated energy field.

We will always be playing with the energy of our thoughts interacting with the consciousness energy of the Universe. Life’s game is powered by matched frequency. The greater the frequency match of the energy vibrations, the more creative the results produced from this synergy.

I am a vibrating being sending out energy that is creating my future experiences. I am causing either my future wanted or my future unwanted by my thoughts right now, depending on their frequency.

Miracles are the normal results of frequency-matched energy flow. They are considered sacred because they were once believed to be beyond possibility. They are possible for us because we can create extraordinary things with our thought energy as easily as we create ordinary things.
